The Social Studies curriculum at Quabbin Regional Middle High School is designed to develop responsible citizens who demonstrate civic knowledge, skills, and dispositions. In addition, our Social Studies courses aim to develop a culture that values human differences, fosters a sense of belonging, and promotes cultural proficiency.

The coursework from Grades 6 to 12 develops students’ abilities to think like a historian by developing focused questions and conducting inquiries, analyzing purpose and point of view of sources, evaluating the credibility, accuracy, and relevance of each source, and arguing or explaining conclusions using valid reasoning and evidence.
