The Intro to Innovation Pathways course is an opportunity for students to engage in exploratory, hands on activities while learning more about potential career opportunities. Our Intro to Innovation Pathways course is offered to all 7th graders. This course is designed to introduce students to our Innovation Pathways program in the high school. Innovation Pathways is a career and college preparatory program that aims to expose students to careers and industries that have multiple entry points - whether that is directly from high school or college.
This course will focus on three of the five industry pathways offered in our high school program - business, graphic design and visual arts. Students will explore each of the three industry sectors through creative challenges that will highlight possible careers options and the skills and knowledge needed to succeed within them. The business curriculum will expose students to the four P's of Business Marketing, the Hospitality and Tourism sector and Entrepreneurship.
